RATS N’ ROSES
This is why you don’t shit where you eat
Ex-GNR manager Hamilton squables with Blacklist Union’s West about being evicted by him from rat-invested home they share
LOS ANGELES — Guns N’ Roses all but destroyed her apartment when original band manager Vicky Hamilton was supporting the group before eventually selling millions of records.
Now Hamilton is learning what it feels like on the other side, according to Blacklist Union singer Tony West, who happens to be Hamilton’s roommate and landlord in California — and until recently, Hamilton’s most promising new client.
We doubt they’ll still work together after West posted today on Facebook (since deleted) a major rant against Hamilton, calling her “a scumbag and loser and a user!!!” — that’s right, three exclamation points — in addition to warning his Facebook friends to “Look out for her cos she will steal your money as well.”
And then, “FUCK YOU VICKY HAMILTON. … Get the FUCK out.”
A big part of the story is West is now trying to evict Hamilton but claims she won’t leave. Furthermore, both agree the Glendale home is infested with both rats and mice.
West, who has a new Blacklist Union CD called “Back to Momo,” called in and said Hamilton had first reached out in February for a room because she had no where to go. They agreed on $850 a month, but Hamilton then made a deal to be Blacklist Union’s manager for a allowence of $500, so she paid $350 every month through July, West said.
Hamilton, who is putting the finishing touches on a new book called “Appetite For Dysfunction,” helped launch the careers of Guns N’ Roses and Poison, though she never cashed in after being cut out of the picture by both bands before they struck it rich.
West said he is dissatisfied with Hamilton’s services.
“I’m so sick of this shit in L.A., people claiming to be in the music business and ripping off bands,” West said. “These kind of people try to get money out of bands, but the old business model is just dead. What’s left is a bunch of vultures tryng to take all these bands for all they’ve got.”
In a text, Hamilton said West “went crazy” when she informed him that if she had to scramble for a new place, then she could no longer find time to book Blacklist Union a European tour, as planned.
“It was like I was wrecking his career,” Hamilton said. “I don’t want any trouble. I’ll be out by Friday even though I don’t have a new place to go. I hired a lawyer but I’m probably going to couch surf until I find a new place. The dysfunction continues.”
As for the rodent infestation, West said the owners are in the process of fixing the problem.
Meanwhile, West said Hamilton’s dog is untrained and destructive.
“The dog is pissing and shitting everywhere and ruining my wood floors,” West said. “She’s psycho. I just want her to get the fuck out.”
