REJOIN DRAGON CARTEL

Darren James Smith returning to Jake E Lee project say multiple sources

This Is Happening — Hot off the internet, Metal Sludge has just been privy to a very strong rumor that Darren James Smith is returning to Jake E Lee’s project Red Dragon Cartel.

This (very reliable) source has told us that the band’s original voice will return in time for the band’s show at the “Rainbow Bar & Grill” Labor Day weekend – the advertised “Backyard Bash” show is Sunday September 6th 2015.

The band has subsequent follow up dates in San Jose California and is slated to play Japan as well.

Smith left the band and on March 18th of this year said the following on his official facebook: “It is true I left RED DRAGON CARTEL. [It’s] kinda complicated, but I think it was the right thing to do. One day I’ll comment more. For now, ‘that’s all, folks!!!'”

Red Dragon Cartel just finished the month of July touring with Shawn Crosby.  Crosby recently did a video interview where he acknowledged he wasn’t sure if he was the guy going forward. See that video interview HERE.

Before Crosby entered the pitcure and after Smith had departed the band worked with 3 other vocalists over April, May and June.

The first replacement for Smith was Chaz West (Ex Lynch Mob, Ex Bonham Hollywood All-Stars), then Michael Beck and Paul D’Eath. Each of the 3 frontmen working with the band over a few weeks time.

Crosby the most recent addition played all the bands shows throughout the month of July.

The Metal Sludge Gossip Board has already begun to buzz with one fan claiming he was at the recent Nashville show on Monday and heard Smith was returning as well. The poster alleges the merch booth person told him Smith was coming back in September. (See sceen capture below)

Stay tuned for more on this inside tip.
