Randy Rand has died.

Rand, 71, was the bassist of the band Autograph.

A statement from the band was released today that reads in part: “It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts to announce the unexpected passing of our cherished friend and founding member of Autograph, Randy Rand.”

There is no official cause of death but the band’s only original member since inception (1983) had previously experienced some heart related health issues in the past.

Rand was admitted into a hospital for an irregular heart rhythm back in late July 2018.
