BREAKING NEWS — Sad news as we report that rock singer Marcie Free has died.
Free was best known as the lead singer of the classic line-up of King Kobra back in the mid 1980’s.
Her passing was confirmed by band-mate Bruce Gowdy from Unruly Child.
Free was originally known as Mark Free, but transitioned to living as a woman in November of 1993 and adapted the name Marcie Michelle Free.

Free also sang for the band Signal, along with her time in Unruly Child and King Kobra.
In addition, Free was a guest singer on albums from; David Cassidy – David Cassidy (1990) Desmond Child – Discipline (1991) Julio Iglesias – Crazy (1994) and Bobby Kimball – Rise Up (1994).
As of press time, there has been no official cause of death.
Marcie Free was 71.
