MUSIC NEWS from YOUTUBE — Guitar star Orianthi is the latest guest on the Get On The Bus podcast.

Orianthi was born in Australia and at age 3 began playing piano, moved to guitar by age 6 and at 14 was playing live shows.

While still in her teens Orianthi met and jammed with Steve Vai and Carlos Santana and at 20 self-released her debut album “Violet”.

In her recent interview with Get On The Bus the Aussie guitar star opens up on several subjects, including industry friends and some of the legends she’s shared the stage with.

Orianthi on Alice Cooper: “I was on tour with him, which was fun and he’s a legend… celebrating Halloween every night, for, I think it was… I had a lot of blood on me… (laughing)… I think 4 or 5 years with him.”

Orianthi on Nita Strauss: “Luckily he (Alice) found the incredible Nita Strauss. Who is amazing! I am so happy that she is… you know doing that. Cause she owns it, she loves it, she owns it and that’s her thing.”

Orianthi on The King of Pop: “Getting a call from Michael Jackson to come rehearse with him, um, for 4 months, and that was… it was intense. Then my record coming out after he passed, and it was just like, it was so devastating and trying to deal with him passing and then, then my record was out.”

Orianthi on traveling: “I love playing shows! I hate traveling. (I) don’t like planes, don’t like buses, don’t like all the stuff that goes around it… I love music. (laughing) I am very honest, okay. It’s exhausting. But this bus is cool (laughing) I will stay in this bus, you know. Absolutely… it’s awesome, it’s got a vibe. No, except for this bus… but… umm, when it’s full of tons of people, you have to sleep on it and you gotta wake up and there’s people there… you get to that point, and then you just tour a lot. Umm, the travel part for me is what I get paid to do honestly. The shows… I love to play shows.”
