SHOW NO MERCY
Phil Lewis says “We don’t want you” to the fans of the other L.A. Guns band

DRAMALAND, California — Phil Lewis has spoke out against the rival L.A. Guns since the announcement they would play M3 Music Festival.

But now the L.A. Guns singer has blasted fans of the newer version of the group as well.

Like anything in life, there are people who like something and those who do not. And fans of L.A. Guns are commenting.

Some fans are supporting the newest version of the band, while others are taking a hard stance against them.

Now that the M3 event is over, the videos of the new L.A. Guns are all over social networks.

Hardcore supporters of Lewis and Guns are not happy, while some are delighted with the new version which seems to have received a fair amount of positive review.

“Seriously. If you thought that was awesome we don’t want you” Lewis told fans in a social media posting titled “Fake LA Guns sucks“.

Lewis continued with: “We’ve tried to bring the band and genre into this century but so many refuse to cross the line. We got fucked over and some people are delighted about that due to jealousy I guess.”

Read the exchange below between Lewis and a fan who wants to support both versions of L.A. Guns.

Lewis and the group’s founder and lead guitarist Tracii Guns have been performing as L.A. Guns since the fall of 2016.

During that time former longtime member, and classic era drummer Steve Riley sat silent.

Until he was offered a slot to play at the annual M3 Music Festival.

Riley rounded up a group of players, including classic era bassist Kelly Nickels, former 2-time member Scott Griffin and new-comer Kurt Frohlich (vocals, guitars).

Since the newer band’s appearance at M3, Lewis has  commented online in various threads. But the most recent post, may be the harshest towards the fans themselves.

Riley and Nickels seem to be turning up the heat, as they have just launched a newly designed website and merch line.

Stay tuned as we get ready for the L.A. Guns vs: L.A. Guns war.
