THEY’RE PLATINUM
Bobby Blotzer awards hired guns with official Ratt platinum plaques
Facebook — A brand new Facebook post shows Bobby Blotzer with his latest lineup of hired guns receiving platinum awards.
The post currently has well over 300 comments, many of which (fans) are condemning the act. Now an edit to the post’s original description notes the following: “Via Bobby Blotzer: The gift of the platinum records to the guys is a simple gesture of appreciation for their contribution to the RATT music while on tour for 70 dates. They’ve stayed professional and kept the integrity of the music. I love them and they deserve this.”
Blotzer is the sole original member in his version of the band Ratt and to date the rotating lineup of players have performed 70 shows as Ratt since the fall of 2015.
The photo with the platinum plaques was taken over the weekend in Spokane Washington when the group played on a 80’s hairband bill that included Bret Michaels, L.A. Guns and Great White.
In recent news, a judgement was handed down by a United States district court, C.D. California (WBS, INC. Vs: Croucier) that stated Blotzer had lost his case against Juan Crocier (Case No. CV 15-07251 DDP (JCx).
After the judgement was made public, the rest of the living classic Ratt lineup (Stephen Pearcy, Warren DeMartini and Juan Croucier) released a statement that they had collectively “expelled” Blotzer from their partnership.
The band’s release also stated; “Blotzer thus has no further interest in the RATT name and may now only refer to himself as a “former member of Ratt” per the RATT Partnership Agreement.”
Pearcy, DeMartini and Croucier have just announced they will be playing as Ratt and headline the annual M3 Music Fest on April 29th 2017.
Stay tuned for more from the world of Ratt.
