Metal Sludge — In a time that has been rough on all of the entertainment industry, it seems that the Covid-19 global pandemic is still putting people out of business.
Such is the case with Brad Lee of Brad Lee Entertainment.
Lee has publicly expressed his disappointment in certain people in the (music) industry and has recently went public with a rant he posted on September 24th.
“Im sorry to say that once Masquerade is finished so am I . I’m tired, im spent and I’m honestly beyond disappointed in the actions of people in general in the industry these days. This isn’t why I got into this . Currently health is priority PERIOD. MINE , YOURS , OURS ! Social media has given far too many people a misinformed sense of reality in regards to so many things . I just don’t desire it anymore and it’s unfortunately largely due to the fact of people in the industry disregarding integrity and ethics all together to suit their own agenda . I don’t need it , my family doesn’t need it and to be quite honest I have somewhat lost my love for music because of it.” — Brad Lee of Brad Lee Entertainment
Lee is talking about his BLE multi-day event that was set to feature over 30 bands including; Jack Russell’s Great White, Rough Cutt, George Lynch, Beasto Blanco, Little Caesar, Last In Line (Dio), Tora Tora, Roxy Blue and Every Mother’s Nightmare.
The BLE event in addition to numerous date changes, has also went through a name change, first being titled Ballroom Blitz, and later becoming Masquerade.
The BLE event was first scheduled and detailed in a post on Sleazeroxx back in December 2019, with the Ballroom Blitz weekend set for March 20th and 21st 2020.
Subsequent dates were advertised and also covered by Sleazeroxx for October 9th, 10th and 11th 2020, then a likely early 2021 time frame was considered, and now the up-coming October 2021 dates are being moved to the Spring of 2022.
According to a new press release from September 27th it appears that BLE’s Masquerade Music Festival has now been officially postponed for the 4th time.
“It is with a heavy heart that we must officially announce that Masquerade set for October 28,29,30 2021 must be rescheduled . More information regarding the postponement will be released throughout this on going period. Be sure to follow this company page and our website for more information.” (see the full statement screen captured below)
