Blackboard Jungle, Swingin’ Thing and The Image Nation set for annual reunion show
Facebook — Hollywood California will once again play host to the annual Blackboard Jungle reunion show. This year the event will be at the “Viper Room” on Saturday May 28th 2016.
Blackboard Jungle bassist and co-founder Britt Pennella recently appeared on The Joe Howard Show podcast.
The interview is a fun listen HERE as Pennella catches up with long time friend Brent Muscat (ex Faster Pussycat). The pair talk about the old school Hollywood days of Cathouse and Muscat producing the band’s early recordings.
Blackboard Jungle rose to local fame on the Sunset Strip in the early 90’s after being mentored by the late Kim Fowley.
The group never signed the ‘big deal’ but gained a cult following from fans from around the world.
The band has some sort of staying power for sure, as they’ve been doing their annual get together for almost 2 decades. This reunion show will be the 17th for the band.
On the bill this year are local friends Swingin’ Thing and a new project of old school guys called The Image Nation.
The Image Nation band is comprised of former members from Tryx, Alley Cat Scratch and is fronted by Swingin’ Thing guitarist Chris Penketh.
