Metal Sludge — Fans of Vinnie Vincent and BulletBoys will be elated to learn that Marq Torien will be a featured guest at the VINNIE VINCENT INVASION Shredd Weekend show next month.
Vincent took to social media to make the announcement with a post sharing an image of Torien and a related message. (see screen capture below)
The Shredd Weekend listening party will take place on May 19th and May 20th in Nashville Tennessee at STARSTUCK Studios.
The event has a limited capacity, and general admission tickets for the event are $ 500.00 per person.
Vincent has done similar events in the past, including his promoted come-back shows in 2019 that ended up being cancelled.
According to an archived post from the official site of Eddie Trunk, the promoter released a statement that in-part states: “Former KISS guitarist, Vinnie Vincent, has sent a notification letter to the promoter that he will not be performing the concerts scheduled for Feb 8th and 9th, 2019 in Nashville, TN. While we cannot discuss the terms of the contract due to a confidentiality clause within the contract, we are shocked at this development, and it is, unfortunately, beyond our control. The matter has been turned over to our attorney.”
According to another article from the spring of 2019 on I Heart the guitarist had cancelled 3 comeback attempts inside of 6 months.
The I Heart post titled “Vinnie Vincent Cancels Third Comeback Attempt In Six Months” lists various details surrounding the cancellation and comments from Carmine Appice who was slated to appear and play drums.
“To me that’s not a professional show that I want people to pay to see me playing in” said Appice.
In addition to these attempts at a full band live performance, which seemingly fell short of the plan, Vincent has done a few events where he did in-person meet & greets with fans, and performed solo showing off his guitar skills.
