Ratt walk minutes before set time as direct support to Guns N’ Roses in Tijuana Mexico
TIJUANA, Mexico — Ratt canceled their show last minute in Tijuana Mexico on Sunday October 20th.
The group were part of the lineup for FRONTERIZO FEST III.
The Sunday show was headlined by Guns N’ Roses, with Ratt, Queensryche, Quiet Riot and several local bands also slated to play.
According to sources on the scene, the band Ratt broke down their gear during Queensryche‘s set and left the venue while Queensryche played on.
A source is claiming there were some contractual issues and most of the band’s sets throughout the day were delayed or running late.
A Spanish site called EL IMPARCIAL has written a short article noting Ratt did not perform at Borderfest III.
The article notes: “Ratt the main band that would close the secondary stage of the Border Fest left its audience waiting.
The Angelina band of which only vocalist Stephen Pearcy survives, left, the promoter announced.
Visibly annoying he asked fans to let the band know about their disagreement on social media.

A San Diego based fan who attended the event wrote about the event on the Metal Sludge Gossip Board.

The promoter came on stage about 30mins later and from my friend who speaks Spanish said he said Ratts the most unprofessional band he’s ever dealt with and slam them on social media, very bizarre.”
Metal Sludge has confirmed from a source on scene and on stage at the event, who noted: “I watched Ratt break down while Queensryche played. I also watched them load into their vehicles, and leave the premises.”
An additional source claimed: “The band (Ratt) was paid in full, but there seemed to be some contractual disagreements.”
There has been no official word from Ratt or any of the other bands who performed at the event.
