“Skid Row could not have been cooler to us”

THE HAIR METAL GURU — In a brand new episode of The Hair Metal Guru the guest is rock drummer Tommy Rickard.
Rickard is the classic drummer of the Bay Area rock band VAIN.
The Guru as usual delivers an awesome interview with the VAIN can-slammer and they cover all kinds of subjects including the early years for Rickard growing up and playing in punk bands as a teenage!
The pair also touch on a grab-bag of subjects including; the Steven Adler experiment, working with Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes), playing with Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots) and much more.
Rickard also talks about how their label (Island Records) handled their debut, touring with Skid Row and all kinds of tidbits about his life in music.
“None of us did drugs, we were the opposite of that…” says Rickard… but admits they had their fair share of drinks along the way.
