Britny Fox returns to the stage with October shows in Hollywood, Las Vegas and Phoenix
We’ve Been Waiting For This — Hairband fans globally your wishes have been granted.
A reunion of one of the era’s finest hairbands is upon us. No not Skid Row and no not Guns N’ Roses.
We’re talking about Britny bitch! As in Britny Fox.
And we must sadly report it’s not the original fab-4 but the second incarnation of Britny Fox that is about to light your asses up.
It would be an extravaganza for sure to see the full regalia of what first impaled our Mtv eyes with “Girl School” but no such luck. There will be no “Dizzy” Dean Davidson and no Michael Kelly Smith.
With all respect, we at Metal Sludge are just as excited to see Billy, Johnny, Tommy and the new guy (Chris Sanders on guitars) hit the stage and give us “Louder” like we know they can.
According to the band’s official Wikipedia: On April 25, 2015, it was announced that the band has again reunited and includes bassist Billy Childs, drummer Johnny Dee, long-time singer/rhythm guitarist Tommy Paris and new lead guitarist Chris Sanders as their line-up and that they are recording a new album.
Britny Fox was formed in 1985 and went gold with their 1988 debut on CBS Records.
The Philadelphia based group had 2 top 40 singles on the Rock Charts with “Long Way To Love” off the debut and “Dream On” off their follow up “Boys in Heat” (1989).
A full 4 months have passed since the band’s announcement and in roughly a month the band will hit the West Coast for their first run of shows.
The band plays Arizona, Hollywood and Las Vegas for a extended weekend. A month later the band will appear at “Farm Rock” in Atlanta with a list of who’s who of hairband giants.
