Metal Sludge — A handful of insider tips have just hit the Metal Sludge inbox about Jack Russell.

First off, Jack Russell’s Great White will not be playing tonight Friday March 18th 2022 at the ‘Black Bear Casino Resort” in Carlton Minnesota.

Russell and his band were scheduled to appear with the Bret Michaels Band, Vixen and Liliac.

According to a source Russell himself was in the hospital earlier today after arriving by plane in Minnesota.

One source has told Metal Sludge that Russell was taken directly from the airport to an area hospital where he was checked out due to illness.

A second source in one of the related touring parties has informed Metal Sludge that it was shared amongst touring camps that Russell has Covid, however that has not been confirmed.

Our initial source in Minnesota is quoted as saying: “Jack looked really bad (this morning) when arriving after his flight landed, and was immediately put in a wheel-chair and taken directly to a hospital.”

The word is out that JRGW have canceled tonight, and the Covid rumor is also being noted as well, and a fan wrote in an online forum: “I just saw Jack live 3 weeks ago doing an acoustic show, before he started he apologized if he sounded rough at times (he didn’t actually) he said he JUST recovered from Covid a few weeks before.. so if he had it then it’s doubtful he has it now.”

One of our sources close to the band has stated something similar, that Russell indeed did have Covid previously, and the insider believes that today’s health issue, is not Covid but something else.

Russell, 61, has been using a chair or bar stool to sit on during parts of his live show for a few years now due to on-going health issues.

Russell talks about his past drug abuse in a 2017 interview as reported by Blabbermouth stating: “Alcohol and drugs are the worst things in the world,” Jack told “The Five Count”. Anybody out there that’s got a problem with alcohol, or alcohol and drugs, get some help. You may not be as lucky as me.”

Metal Sludge wish Jack Russell a healthy and speedy recovery.

Stay tuned and we will keep you updated if we hear any developments…
