“Oh, btw, the two that shot me have been caught and face sentencing next month. The gun was tied to two previous murders so my case is almost an afterthought. They’re going bye bye for a long time.”
— Jake E. Lee
LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Jake E. Lee posted on Facebook last Friday June 27th about the crazy shooting incident he was a victim of back on October 15th 2024.
Lee as readers will recall was shot 4 times by a pair of shady individuals in the early morning hours while walking his dog Coco near his home in Las Vegas.
Lee‘s neighbor heard the shots and called 911 as the rocker lay on the ground suffering multiple gun-shot wounds.
The Police arrived and found 15 casings on the ground near the scene and began their investigation which has went on for many months, while many have stated Lee was very lucky to survive the attack.
Lee has now recovered from the shooting after receiving care at a Las Vegas area hospital and apparently is also ready to rock again.
Now more than 8 months after the unthinkable happened, Lee has updated his readers about next week’s big Black Sabbath event in Birmingham England, of which he will be a part of celebrating Ozzy Osbourne‘s final show.
The guitarist also shared a tidbit regarding those involved in the October 2024 shooting that could have ended his life.
Lee wrote: “Just confirming I’m playing in Birmingham on the 5th of July. In fact I believe I’ll be first at bat, which means Coco has to be up at 7:00am to watch Pops! I’m thrilled to be sharing the stage with top tier musicians, I won’t name cause you never know until the curtain rises, but will confirm once we have our rehearsal next week.
Oh, btw, the two that shot me have been caught and face sentencing next month. The gun was tied to two previous murders so my case is almost an afterthought. They’re going bye bye for a long time. On that happy thought, see ya on TV!”
Lee played guitar for Osbourne following the tragic death of Randy Rhoads (1982) through the “Bark At The Moon” and “Ultimate Sin” records and subsequent tours until his departure in 1987.
