ON THE MEND — Rock guitarist Ace Frehley has suffered a fall and subsequently has been taken to an area hospital.

Frehley, 74, a former and co-founding member of the band KISS took to his social media on Thursday September 25th and shared the following statement:

“Dear Rock Soldiers,

Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital. He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time. As a result, he is forced to cancel his performance at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California on Friday, September 26th.

“Please go to the fair to support his friends in QUIET RIOT and VIXEN, and Ace looks forward to continuing on his tour and finishing work on his next album, ‘Origins Vol. 4’.”

Frehley has been active playing solo shows in support of his most recent release “10,000 Volts” via MNRK Heavy / Music Group which was released in early 2024.

The New York born guitarist performs with a back-up group consisting of Jeremy Asbrock (guitars), Ryan Spencer (bass) and Scot Coogan (drums), with both Spencer and Coogan sharing some of the lead vocal duties along with Frehley.

Metal Sludge wish Ace a full and speedy recovery.
