MS NEWS / April 20th 2026 — Big news from the Stephen Pearcy camp as the iconic Ratt frontman announces a new member to his solo touring band!
Pearcy is bringing in guitarist Joel Hoekstra as his new lead player to join his All-Star line-up that features:Pearcy (Lead Vocals), Matt Thorne (Bass), Erik Ferentinos (Guitars) and Blas Elias (Drums).
Hoekstra has a deep resume’ that includes stints with Whitesnake, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Night Ranger andForeigner.
Pearcy‘s official website shared the news of Hoekstra‘s addition with the following message: “Renowned guitarist Joel Hoekstra, who has collaborated with esteemed artists Foreinger, Whitesnake and the Trans Siberian Orchestra. His virtuosic guitar playing has garnered widespread recognition on stages with Cher, Night Ranger, and Broadways “Rock of Ages”.
Most recently highlighted on “Dancing with the Stars” (Metal Night), and SNL 50.
In 2026, Joel Hoekstra will join RATT’S STEPHEN PEARCY on his “Undercover Tour” 2026.
Pearcy is currently commemorating the 40th anniversary of the band’s third album, “Dancing Undercover,” released in 1986.

Hoekstra Hits the road with Pearcy for their 1st show Saturday, May 9th in Tulare, California at The Adventist Health Amphitheatre.
Pearcy has been busy in the studio putting finishing touches on his next solo album.
