“All members of Poison agreed that we will not perform as the name Poison without all four original members.”
— Bret Michaels
MS NEWS / May 21st 2026 — Bret Michaels has just posted a lengthy 350 word statement regarding the initial buzz surrounding a potential Poison tour for 2027.
The band’s drummer Rikki Rockett confirmed the band has been made an official offer which first hit the web in the last 24 hours.
Metal Sludge reported the Rockett story earlier today with our article: “TALK 2027 TO ME … Rikki Rockett says that Poison has been Made an Offer to Tour Next Year.”
Michaels who is usually short with posts, seemingly wrote a longer than usual response to the recent news that the band just might be hitting the road next year in 2027.
Rockett went on record during a radio interview promoting his The Rockett Mafia shows for 2026, but the meat of that interview ended up being all about Poison and if they were going to finally hit the road in 2027.
Rockett said: “I don’t wanna throw anybody under the bus — I’m not gonna do that — but I will say this: literally tomorrow we are having a conversation with management. We have been made an offer for 2027, and we’re going to talk as a band and with management. And I will know more tomorrow. It’s a shame we’re not doing the interview tomorrow. So hopefully everything will work out and we’ll be able to get on track and do something.“
Michaels has now taken to his social media late this afternoon and posted a statement which we have shared below in full.

Recently, it has come to my attention that there have been some offers for Poison in 2027 and because I would be traveling to awesome Atlantic City tomorrow and Charles Town WV Saturday and both performing & with family over Memorial Day weekend, and out of respect to the other members in Poison to honor the weekend, I would kindly ask that all offers be discussed the week following Memorial Day, as it is a weekend for remembrance and, as I’m the son of a veteran and almost every member of my family have served or is currently serving, as well as the fact I’ll be traveling, that we all look to moving discussions of Poison 2027 to the following week which also gives time to see if I can move some of The BMB shows and special events that are already being contracted for 2027.
As I’ve always said, I’m forever grateful and excited to see my other Poison band members for a reunion and put on a great show for the fans. But as everyone really knows, there is a lot of stuff to agree on and a lot of moving parts and schedules to discuss. I’m sure each member will have the respect to discuss this after Memorial Day weekend as we all know there is no chance to do a real, all-original members reunion if not all the original members are there, nor would we want to, nor would the promoters want it as Poison is nothing more than a name without the original C.C., Bobby, Rikki and myself giving 100% mind, body and soul. All members of Poison agreed that we will not perform as the name Poison without all four original members. As the fans know, Poison runs off of excitement, positive energy and real live music.
I have a great feeling we’re all going to attempt to make all of this work for 2027.
Yours truly,
Lead Singer Long Texter Bret Michaels
Stay tuned…
PS – see you all in Atlantic City, NJ on Friday night and Charles Town WV on Saturday
The post from Michaels has drawn mixed reactions from fans. While some are still hoping for a full Poison reunion tour, others are excited to see the Bret Michaels Band return to the road.
Michaels has remained active with his solo project, the Bret Michaels Band (BMB), while Poison themselves have been relatively quiet in recent years.
The band’s last official outing was as part of 2022’s Stadium Tour alongside Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.
If Poison were to launch a tour in 2027, it would mark the band’s first tour in five years and only their third touring run in the past decade. Their previous runs included the Stadium Tour in 2022 and a 2018 headlining tour featuring Cheap Trick and Pop Evil.
Before that, Poison also toured in 2017 alongside Def Leppard and Tesla.
