July 15th 2026 — The revolving door of rock royalty keeps on spinning. Frontman John Corabi has officially parted ways with hard rock collective The Dead Daisies, marking the end of his second stint with the band.

The Dead Daisies have issued the following: “It has come to our attention that John Corabi has decided to leave THE DEAD DAISIES.

“We’d like to sincerely thank John for his incredible contribution to the band over the years and wish him nothing but success with his solo career and all his future endeavors.”

As Corabi has hit the road to unleash his own solo fury, his former bandmates have wasted no time pivoting. They are officially reviving their collaborative with rock icon Glenn Hughes as they launch an off-shoot of sorts, with The Purple Daisies.

The Corabi Era: Act II Comes to a Close

For Corabi, this exit wraps up a legacy built across two distinct eras with the Daisies. He first steered the ship for a four-year run starting in 2015. He then answered the call to return in 2023 after Glenn Hughes’ departure.

But you can’t keep a good frontman down. Corabi has recently been focusing on his solo endeavors:

  • A New Record: Corabi just dropped a brand-new solo album via Frontiers SRL.
  • The Roadshow: He is currently out on tour, bringing that fresh solo material directly to the fans.

Enter The Purple Daisies: A 50/50 Sonic Assault

With Corabi out, the remaining powerhouse lineup of The Dead Daisies—featuring guitar hero Doug Aldrich, rhythm guitarist David Lowy, and heavy-hitting drummer Tommy Clufetos—is plugging back into the grid with “The Voice of Rock,” Glenn Hughes.

Under the moniker The Purple Daisies, this super-collective delivers an absolute dream setlist for classic rock purists. The show splits the night right down the middle: 50% legendary Deep Purple classics and 50% hard-hitting The Dead Daisies material.

Catch Them Live: The Road to California

The band proved the concept is a certified hit earlier this year on May 30th, playing a wildly successful, completely Sold Out debut show at the Arcada Theatre in Illinois.

Now, they are bringing the smoke to the West Coast:

  • The Venue: The Canyon in Agoura Hills, California.
  • The Date: Friday, October 2, 2026.

This marks only their second official appearance under The Purple Daisies banner, making it a mandatory calendar date for anyone craving authentic, high-octane rock ‘n’ roll history in the making.

Ready, Set, Daisies!
