The Classic Metal Show air voicemails from Bobby Blotzer; call him ‘paranoid and silly’
TCMS — Below is the latest episode of The Classic Metal Show in which Ratt drummer Bobby Blotzer’s voicemails are part of the show.
The co-hosts Wendell Neeley and Chris Akin start the show by discussing their recent feature interview (if you want to call it that) with former Ratt tour manager/co-manager Jason Green.
Neeley and Akin talk about the Green show, and then share their recent exchanges with Ratt drummer Bobby Blotzer.
The hosts note that it was in fact Blotzer who had reached out to them after the Green episode aired.
According to Neeley after Metal Sludge posted the Green episode it went from 250 to over 6,000 downloads in a 24 hour period. It was definitely a hot ticket and is now closing in on 10,000 clicks in a little over a week.

From what the hosts tell us in this latest 35 minute webisode or podcast if you will, they were phoned by the Ratt drummer a few times who rants a bit about all things related.
Blotzer identifies himself, and at some point notes that the pair ‘hate him‘ and again during a message adds; “I understand you got a hatred”.
Blotzer then ends his last message with ‘keep hating‘ and ‘you got that hate, cause I did nothing to you, and ah, that’s it. I’m out. Catch ya later, bye.’
Both Akin and Neeley are adamant they do not hate Blotzer, and cannot understand why he thinks this. However they do play and then dissect most of Blotzer’s messages – line by line.
They also read what is alleged to be, serveral text messages from Blotzer that were sent to Akin.
Akin notes that he had attempted reaching Blotzer via email, but there was an issue with email not going through, so he opted to texting instead.
The alleged texts are read by Neeley and include Blotzer commenting on Warren DeMartini, Juan Croucier and former tour manager Jason Green. There was even mention of mediation (court) next week.
Metal Sludge reached out to Akin and asked him to address that Blotzer comment how they are perceived to ‘hate him‘.
Akin was swift with his reply which we have posted below unedited.

My comment about hating him.
“That is patently untrue. Both Neeley and I are big Ratt fans. Between us we’ve seen them at least 40 times. We both own all the releases and play the music all the time on the show.
For Bobby to assume that us doing an interview with someone that doesn’t seem to like him or like working with him makes us hate him is just paranoid and silly.
We have opened the door for him to set the record straight – with zero confrontation from us.
That is not something someone that “hates” him would do.
His assessment is that everything Jason said is a “pack of lies”. That’s fair enough if that’s his assessment. But the question arises – how would we know that? We weren’t in any band meetings. We didn’t hear any of the things Jason accused him of being discussed or put into place. We have nothing to base any of it on.
We have, again, invited Bobby on to “clear the air”, answer any accusation, and give us and the fans the other side of the pendulum to make their own decisions from.
He’s crazy to think that in this microcosm that is “classic metal” that him touring with 4 strangers and calling that Ratt is not a news story. It is.
As a news story, we had the opportunity to speak to one of the players, so we did. We also offered the other player in this full time to answer.
We also offered the same for his singer, who he says wants to answer as well.
As of today (Tuesday) neither has accepted our invitation. The door is open, without this alleged hatred or malice.
