SCORPIONS postpone their ‘Coming Home to Las Vegas’ September 2026 residency to 2027
METAL SLUDGE / September 3rd 2026 – German rock legends SCORPIONS have officially postponed their up coming Las Vegas residency with BUCKCHERRY until September 2027.
SCORPIONS were set to return to ‘PH Live‘ at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for their “Coming Home to Las Vegas” 2026 residency, which included special guests BUCKCHERRY but the run has been moved back a full year.
The eight-show run was scheduled to kick off in two-weeks’ time with the shows running from September 17th thru October 3rd 2026… now the entire run will take place in September 2027.
The band’s official statement was shared on their social media and is shared below.
“SCORPIONS regret to announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances, their upcoming September shows in Las Vegas will need to be postponed.”
“The band is extremely disappointed but looks forward to returning to Las Vegas in September 2027. SCORPIONS are also currently planning a number of European shows for 2027, continuing their hugely successful ‘Coming Home – 60 Years Of Scorpions’ tour, with details to be announced soon.”
Perhaps the age of select members is a contributing factor to some of the band’s recent tour hiccups?
The German 5-piece metal group was founded more than 60 years ago in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker who turned 78 last weekend joining frontman Klaus Meine who is also 78.
The band is rounded out by 70 year old classic era guitarist Matthias Jabs, former Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee who is 62 and Polish bassist Paweł Mąciwoda who joined the band in 2003 and is the baby of the group at 59 years old.
In the last 18 months the band have been forced to cancel multiples shows or legs of tours in South America, India and now the United States and Mexico.
In 2025 SCORPIONS Cancelled Shows in South America: In May 2025, the band cancelled three shows on their South American 60th Anniversary tour leg (including stops in Argentina, Colombia, and Ecuador) due to Klaus Meine suffering from a virus and bacterial bronchitis.
In 2026 SCORPIONS Cancelled Shows in India for their “Coming Home” Tour: In April 2026, the band cancelled their 4-city India tour at the last minute because of unforeseen medical circumstances affecting band members.
In 2026 SCORPIONS Postponed Shows in Mexico & Las Vegas Residency: In September 2026, the band postponed their September Mexico tour dates and their Las Vegas residency (“Coming Home To Las Vegas”) to September 2027 due to unspecified “unforeseen circumstances”.
