Metal Sludge — Sure we cover a lot of rock stars, live shows and of course the drama, but today we’re going to give you a peak behind the scenes.

Today we’re talking about Jake Perry!

Perry was recently a guest on the Waste Some Time with Jason Green podcast.

And yes, we know what you’re saying… “Who the F#@k is Jake Perry?”

Well, he’s not Joe Perry’s brother, even though Jake is from the greater Massachusetts area, Worcester to be exact.

Matter of fact, Perry grew up less than an hour from where Perry grew up in Lawrence, but whose googling mileage between the 2 cities.

Oh yea, that’s right… we are… 51.8 miles!

Carrying on…

Jake Perry is the house agent at the world-famous “Whisky-A-Go-Go” nightclub.

So in a nutshell, if you wanna play there, you will likely be dealing with Mr. Perry.

Perry, 39, moved to Hollywood well after the 80’s, but that’s because he wasn’t even born until 1982.

Chances are he was probably trying to spell cat and learning his A,B,C’s while the Sunset Strip was at its peak and Gazzarri’s was full of hairbands.

But don’t let that stop you from checking out his recent appearance as a guest on the popular Youtube channel, because simply put, Perry has stories for days.

Perry has a laundry list of credits and personal stories that any fan would find interesting for sure.

And we’re not just talking music here but movies, T.V. shows and Hollywood in general, Jake has seen a lot for a semi young-buck.

Since moving to Hollywood in 2004, Perry has worked at the “Rainbow Bar & Grill” along with the world-famous “Comedy Store” and of course his current (11 year position) at the “Whisky-A-Go-Go.

“I waited tables at The Rainbow in the day-time” says Perry.

“I love 80’s metal, I will sacrifice my college degree and wait some tables for a little bit, just to get some experience.

Never a dull moment over there… you never know who you will see at The Rainbow. I met Mike Tyson there, David Hasselhoff, tons of 80’s rockers” says Perry with excitement.

Fun Fact: Perry graduated from Emerson College near Boston.

It might be safe to say, that these 3 clubs are arguably the most recognized branded venues from their respective categories around the globe and Perry has credits with all of them.

Perry has also worked closely with several big stars from throughout the entertainment industry, including Pauly Shore, Corey Feldman and the late Corey Haim.

Shore even nicknamed Perry “Baby Weasel” and the Shore family accepted the New England native as one of their own.

Perry appeared on “The Two Coreys”, and was the writer/director of the “Love Left Corey Feldman” documentary.

And aside from being a Talent Buyer at the world’s most popular rock club, Perry has some interesting credits across the spectrum..

Perry played “Nerd #2” in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (TV Series – 2006).

Perry was “Dancer #3” in Jail Weddings: Somebody Lonely (Music Video – 2011)

And he also played the “Slacker / Roommate” in The Roommate (2011).

So yeah, Jake Perry is a Rocker, a Roller, an Agent, a Waiter, a Nerd, a Dancer, a Slacker and an all around Nice Guy if we may add that.

We won’t waste anymore time here, but suggest you go listen to the Waste Some Time with Jason Green podcast, with special guest Jake Perry.

Also, check these 2 guys out on social media, and tell them Metal Sludge sent ya!
