Man accused of stealing Kiss memorabilia from Texas storage unit arrested
DALLAS, Texas – A 50-year-old man is accused of stealing an extensive collection of Kiss memorabilia — and one Star Wars action figure — from a storage unit, San Angelo police said.
The victim called police Dec. 29 after discovering his collection of Kiss shirts, records, action figures and magazines and a Star Wars action figure had been taken from his unit at Southland Storage in the 4900 block of Southland Boulevard.
The burglary was recorded on surveillance video, police said.
A tip led police to Michael W. Roehr and he was tracked to a residence in the 800 block of North Van Buren Street on Friday. Police searched the home and seized a portion of the collection, which was returned to its rightful owner.
Police had no estimate of the collection’s value, which was acquired over 40 years, The Associated Press reported.
Roehr was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail. He has been charged with burglary of a building, burglary of a habitation and possession of a controlled substance. Bail is set at $15,000.
