Blabbermouth — Phil Lewis has slammed drummer Steve Riley‘s lineup of L.A. GUNS, saying “we can’t have another shitty version going out diluting the brand.” This past January, Riley was sued by Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns and Lewis in California District Court. Joining Riley as defendants in the case are the three musicians who perform in his recently launched rival version of L.A. MESSAGE TO FANS … Don Dokken is unhappy with recent criticism of his live shows: “They can Kiss my @ss!”

Blabbermouth — DOKKEN frontman Don Dokken has pushed back against criticism of his band’s live performances, saying that people “don’t know” what he went through during his various health battles. In recent years, Don has been ruthlessly lambasted by fans after radiation treatments from a bout with stomach cancer and eventual vocal-cord surgery hurt his singing ability. RIP … Quiet Riot’s Frankie Banali loses Pancreatic Cancer Battle, Dead at 68

Metal Sludge — Sadly we are reporting that Frankie Banali has died. Banali passed away last night (Thursday, August 20) at 7:18 p.m. in Los Angeles surrounded by his wife and daughter.  Banali has been battling pancreatic cancer since being diagnosed in the spring of 2019.
