COULD IT BE?
Stephen Pearcy says; “Time to RATT N’ ROLL again” and Juan Croucier replies; “Can’t wait”
Facebook — In yet another somewhat cyrptic comment Stephen Pearcy has fans excited once again.
On November 22nd the famed singer and founder of the platinum selling band RATT wrote; “Time to RATT N’ ROLL again!” on long time bandmate and bassist Juan Croucier’s official Facebook page.
Pearcy added; “See ya in The Cellar soon enough brutha.”
Croucier did not wait long to reply and shot back with; “U Got it. 100% can’t wait to get started.”
Pearcy posted back on November 14th another cryptic message saying; “Justice is Peace. TBA!”
Fans have been chomping at the bit for news about the (Ratt) band’s future after several years of turmoil, fighting and lawsuits amongst the surviving original members.
Rumor on the street is that the long legal feud between Bobby Blotzer and Warren DeMartini has come to a close. And subsequent legal matters involving Blotzer and other members (Juan Croucier), along with former ‘business associates’ are also alleged to have been finalized or dropped altogether.
Blotzer has been steering his own ship after taking over the Ratt brand in the fall of 2015.
The band’s classic era drummer has been on the road for a year playing dozens of shows all without any of the other original members. This was what seemingly started a fire storm of legal moves from all sides.
One can only assume the lack of public comments from any of the members seems to be the calm before the storm.
Blotzer recently spoke in a video interview about recording with his version of Ratt and releasing music in 2017. The drummer also stated that from his perspective, the audiences have “Gobled it up” referring to his lineup of players and live shows.
Something that definitely showed a form of unity on the other end, was the appearance of ‘The Stowaways’ on the Monsters of Rock cruise back on October 1st. See videos below.
The surprise ‘All-Star’ group featured Stephen Pearcy (vocals), Warren DeMartini (lead guitar), Juan Croucier (bass), Carlos Cavazo (guitars) and Jimmy D’Grasso (drums).
Clearly this was some sort of statement that the other 3 original members appear to be working as one in their efforts to move forward. Advertised as The Stowaways the band performed an entire set of Ratt classics but refrained from calling themselves by their famous branded name.
The same 5 guys last performed as the official Ratt back in January of 2014. The group did a short west coast run of shows. And at that time Blotzer was not recovered from a previous neck surgery, and D’Grasso was summoned to fill the throne. But the band has hit several road blocks over recent years that has brought on a plethora of mind boggling moves by related members.
Stay tuned to see what happens next in the ever evolving world of Ratt.
