June 22nd 2026 — In the latest installment of the Hair Metal Guru podcast the guest is none other than Chip Z’Nuff of Enuff Z’Nuff.
Z’Nuff co-founded the band in the Windy City of Chicago in 1984 with his partner in crime frontman Donnie Vie.
Z’Nuff shares an immense amount of history taking listeners back as far as the 1970’s when he first became interested in music and into the heart of the eighties forming Enuff Z’Nuff in 1984.

* Enuff Z’Nuff being in New York City to meet with Clive Davis who at the time was President of Arista Records… and the morning of the big meeting, Donnie Vie was nowhere to be found as he got arrested the night before trying to buy Crack.
* How Vikki Foxx left for Vince Neil‘s solo band, and the guys (Z’Nuff and Vie) met with Ricky Parent to fill the drum void… during the meeting Vie asked Parent; “Hey, do you do drugs?” and Ricky replied; “Well I can learn“, and that was it, he was in the band.
* How Enuff Z’Nuff recorded a new record in early 2004 called “?” (Question Mark) and 2 weeks after the record was done Derek Frigo died on May 28th 2004 from a heroin overdose.
* Chip Z’Nuff said Herbie Herbert told him the following about Johnny Monaco; “He’s a good guitar player, and he can sing… but he’s not a star.”
* Chip Z’Nuff on Steven Adler when he got the chance to hang out and jam again with Guns N’ Roses in 2016; “(Adler) played 2 songs in the set… and they paid him very well… trust me, he got a year’s pay for those 2 gigs… most people work their ass off 365 days a year to see that kind of money, he did well, and the band treated him really great… but I don’t think they were confident in him to do the full show to be honest with you.”
