SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — In a new social media post Frankie Banali‘s Widow Regina Banali has shared news that she is selling off her late husband’s drum kits.
Regina Banali posted on Frankie Banali‘s official Facebook page today sharing the following message: “Special Announcement to Frankie’s fans and fellow drummers.“
“The last of the special drums sets I’ve been keeping back are going up for sale soon. In fact they are being picked up this week and Donn Bennett will list them on his site. I am NOT selling the green sparkle Ludwig set, the snare used on MH and the gong so please don’t ask,” added Banali.
Banali continued with: “Here’s what’s going up: Black and White striped set” which also shared a link that includes a 44 second clip of Banali playing the drum-kit back in August of 2019.
It appears that there are several different kits available including; a Black & White kit (see link), a limited edition Canopus set in Green Sparkle, the Maple set used in the In ‘The Blood‘ video, the Clear double bass set used the last time he played with Quiet Riot at the ‘Whisky-A-Go-Go‘ and a Vintage White kit as well.

Banali was the driving force behind Quiet Riot for nearly 4 decades but sadly succumbed to Pancreatic Cancer in August of 2020.
The drummer had been battling the disease since being diagnosed in April of 2019, at which time Doctors gave him 6 months to live, but Banali who was well known as a tough Italian New Yorker lived another 16 months before losing his battle.
Banali shared a message on Facebook to his followers, friend and fans back in May of 2020 that started with; “I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK EACH & EVERYONE OF YOU….” and in June of 2020 the drummer talked at length with Eddie Trunk and boldly telling listeners ; “I know that that’s what eventually is gonna kill me,” in a 2-part video interview about his diagnosis.
Ironically Banali‘s Father Jack also died from Pancreatic Cancer in 1974 when Frankie was in his early 20’s.
Quiet Riot have continued on with classic era bassist Rudy Sarzo, long-standing guitarist Alex Grossi, vocalist Jizzy Pearl and Johnny Kelly (drums) who was hand-picked by the late Banali to take his spot behind the drums.
