Metal Sludge — Every once in a while someone comes along who throws music a curve-ball.

Today that pitcher is Steve Welsh of the band Dead City Ruins and he’s just thrown a strike right down the pipe.

Who, what, and why are likely a few of the questions you may be asking.

Well, in short… Welsh has taken Guns N’ Roses entire “Appetite For Destruction” release and recreated his version of each song, and doing so in the style of 12 different artists.

Huh?

Exactly what we thought you’d say…

Welsh has recorded segments of the 12 different Guns N’ Roses songs, and done so in a way he feels it might sound like if that specific artist had recorded each of the tracks… dig?

The list spans the spectrum of rock and we’ll be the first to give Welsh props as this is very creative and well done for sure.

Welsh has a Youtube channel with close to 50k subscribers and it’s understood as he has countless awesome videos of music related content that rules.

Make sure to check out his other clips along with his band Dead City Ruins who recently opened for the mighty Kiss.

We’ll save the drivel from this article, and let you listen for yourself.

Be ready to hear AC/DC, Motörhead, Limp Bizkit, Oasis, Kiss, The Cure, Danzig, The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and W.A.S.P. among others. (listen and watch below)
