LOS ANGELES, California — Former L.A. Guns guitarist Michael Grant sends a message to the haters.
Grant who was fired from L.A. Guns back in March as first reported by Metal Sludge, has posted about shows with his new group.
Michael Grant & The Assassins played their debut gig over the weekend at “Viper Room” in Hollywood and a second show at “Vamp’d” in Las Vegas.
The 36 year old Los Angeles based musician spent over 5 years in L.A. Guns and previously fronted a local band called EndEverAfter.
Now moving forward as a solo artist, it seems Grant may be sending a bit of a blast towards his former bandmates.
In a brand new social media post Grant writes: “It felt so great to play to packed houses this past weekend on my own two feet with Michael Grant & The Assassins, Completely independent of sour ass hater energies trying to dumb me down or dim my light. I’m in such a better place now!”
“Everything happens for a reason. The good, the bad, the ugly… they’re all emotions we need to feel to allow us to recognize and see the true beauty in love and in life.” added Grant
L.A. Guns bassist Johnny Martin replied to the Grant post commenting with: “HEY! … I don’t remember trying to dumb you down or dim your light? As a matter of fact, I think that some of us may have even helped with promoting, reposting, etc., in regards to your shows. 
? None the less, I am so glad that everything went so fabulous. 
?”
Grant ended his post with a final message to the haters: “I was raised a fighter and I’ll fight to the death for my dreams and for those that I truly love. All you haters only make me stronger

Grant and his new project are also scheduled to appear on the Monsters of Rock Cruise in February 2019.
