“He only had that car a month and then he killed Razzle. I saw him a week later, and he wasted.”
— Don Dokken on Vince Neil
Metal Sludge — In a recent interview with The Chuck Shute Podcast Dokken frontman Don Dokken touches on many subjects including touring with Aerosmith, drug use, George Lynch and his new album ‘When Heaven Comes Down’.
Dokken, 70, goes into detail on a variety of topics dating back to his early years up through recent times and doesn’t hold back as he goes on for nearly 100 minutes.
A few different moments included Dokken talking at length about Motley Crue singer Vince Neil.
“Vince Neil had a face-lift and they actually filmed it and showed it on T.V. (giggling), ‘Here’s Vince getting his face lifted’, I don’t know why he did that, he just needed to lose 150 pounds” said Dokken about the Motley Crue frontman.
Dokken also talks about the infamous car accident that took the life of Hanoi Rocks drummer Razzle ((aka Nicholas Dingley, Hanoi Rocks drummer) back on December 8th of 1984.
“He only had that car a month and then he (Vince Neil) killed Razzle. I saw him a week later, and he was wasted.” says Dokken
“I guess when you’re famous you can get away with it… I think he (Vince Neil) was only in jail for 5 days.” added Dokken.
The Chuck Shute Podcast does a nice job of breaking it down by subjects, with time-stamps on their related interviews.
