IT’S TRUE
Bobby Blotzer confirms Ex-Quiet Riot singer Seann Nicols will front his version of Ratt
Facebook — Bobby Blotzer has confirmed that Metal Sludge’s story about Seann Nicols is accurate and true.
Blotzer who has called Ratt’s drum throne his home for over 3 decades has spoke out on his official Facebook page tonight (March 6th).
Blotzer ended his long message (see the full posting below) with the following; “RATT along with Seann Nicols at the helm = Cya in FT YATES ON THE 18TH.”
The Prairie Knights Casino is giving away tickets to the March 18th show.
The short version of the last week’s events surrounding Nicols and Quiet Riot are as follows.
Seann Nicols was fired by Quiet Riot on or around March 1st.
Metal Sludge was the first American news source to break this story on March 2nd.
It was confirmed by Billboard a day later when Quiet Riot acknowledged that the story was true.
The band’s sole original classic era member Frankie Banali (drums) was quoted as saying; “We had to make the best decision for Quiet Riot. If there are problems so early in the co-operation, it’s better to pull the emergency brake.” And with the press release, it was official.
Quiet Riot had hired the 28 year old American Idol star James Durbin.
Metal Sludge then broke the story that Blotzer would hire Nicols for his version of Ratt.
Metal Sludge also shared a video (from The Classic Metal Show) shot over the weekend.
The video shows Blotzer and Nicols jamming Ratt’s mega hit “Round N’ Round” at a Southern California taco shop.
Blotzer has now wrote extensively explaining the events of how he came to know of Nicols, and details some of what has happened in the last calendar year involving his version of Ratt.
Nicols will be the 2nd singer and 11th member overall of Blotzer’s Ratt project since its 2015 inception.
