Jizzy Pearl announces Jizzy Pearl/Love/Hate 2017 U.K. Tour
Facebook — Jizzy Pearl has just announced via his personal facebook that he will head to the U.K. in early 2017 to tour as Jizzy Pearl/Love/Hate.
The tour will celebrate the 25th annivesary of the band’s “Wasted In America” release which hit the streets in 1992 courtesy of Columbia Records.
The band’s second album charted in the U.K. peaking at #20, and the titletrack single “Wasted In America” hit #38 on the singles chart.
About the up coming 2017 anniversary run the singer commented online; “I decided to put Love/Hate to bed. For reasons everyone knows. But coming back as myself? Fuck yes.”
Love/Hate have thrived with a mostly English and European cult following for most of their career.
Pearl and various lineups have toured regularly outside the U.S. a dozen or more times in as many years, with Pearl usually the lone original member.
This tour will feature a U.K. based band of musicians and Pearl.
The original lineup reunited for the first time in ten years, on February 24, 2007 at “Club Vodka” in Hollywood, California to perform their classic debut record Black out in the Red Room (1990) in its entirety. The show sold out, with an audience of 1,500.
