July 16th 2026 — Quiet Riot is currently looking for a new frontman and Metal Sludge has stumbled onto an amazing choice… meet John Torra out of Long Island New York… but his band Fire’N Ice, is actually based out of New Jersey!
Well, to be fair… we didn’t discover this guy on our own but we were sent his videos by numerous people which included some fans, some friends and believe it or not… several Rock Stars and Industry Insiders as well.
We’ll keep those Rock Star names private for now… but by the looks of the comments on John‘s audition videos he uploaded to social media… it’s evident he has a ton of support.
This has all the makings of a made for T.V. movie special…
The random East Coast kid singing in his bedroom, then he gets the chance to audition for a name band… he gets the gig, hits the stages, and soon he’s rocking in front of huge crowds!
Call us crazy, but we at here Metal Sludge think John Torra can be THAT GUY.
John Torra has THE VOICE… no doubt.
John Torra has THAT CHARISMA… big time.
John Torra comes off as VERY LIKABLE… all day.

In roughly 24 hours, John Torra‘s videos have been viewed on his Instagram alone well over 60,000 times, with thousands of likes, comments and shares.
Torra has videos shared on his Instagram, on Facebook and on YouTube as well.
We here at Metal Sludge think John Torra is without a doubt an amazing talent, and in browsing his various videos, it’s clear he can sing almost anything… but his voice is so similar to Kevin DuBrow‘s in these clips, it’s scary.
