Metal Sludge — Golden Robot Records have responded to our Riley’s L.A. Guns article and sent us an official statement.
The label is home to Riley’s L.A. Guns who are awaiting the official release of “The Dark Horse” their 2nd release with the label.
Metal Sludge shared a statement from Riley’s L.A. Guns that hit the internet on May 6th and the band’s message to their label wasn’t a good look.
In short, the band were calling out their label for lack of communication stating; “They won’t answer my emails so we are all left in limbo.”
We’re happy to report that the Australian based label started communicating within hours of our Metal Sludge article hitting the internet.
According to the label, Riley’s L.A. Guns “The Dark Horse” is now slated for an August 16th 2024 release date for physical product (ie: CDs and Vinyl).

We have been diligently working with our manufacturers to ensure that we deliver the highest quality product to the fans, especially to commemorate Steve Riley’s final piece of work.
We didn’t want to make public until the release date was iron clad and today, we are thrilled to announce that the CD and special edition vinyls will be fully prepared to ship and available for sale on August 16th, 2024.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Your support means the world to us, and we cannot wait to share this special release with you on vinyl and CD , the album is available on all digital channels.
This is the 2nd album Golden Robot Records has had the pleasure in releasing for Riley’s LA Guns and we believe their best work to date
