Metal Sludge — In a brand new installment on the 80’s Metal Recycle Bin YouTube channel, guitar virtuoso Joel Hoekstra is the guest.

Hoekstra has put together quite a resume in the last few decades including playing with Night Ranger, appearing with the Rock of Ages show, Tran Siberian Orchestra and more recently Whitesnake.

Hoekstra talks about first coming to Hollywood to attend GIT (The Guitar Institute of Technology) right around when the Seattle and grunge music scene took over the mainstream.

The guitarist also talks about his youth growing up and learning to play cello and piano.
