Michael Sweet calls Faster Pussycat’s hateful verbal assault on Stryper ‘disturbing’

Facebook — Michael Sweet has responded to recent comments directed at his band Stryper from members of Faster Pussycat.

The comments were made by Danny Nordahl (bassist) and Chad Stewart (drums) who appeared on the popular Another FN’ Podcast show hosted by Izzy Presley.

“At least it’s not fucking Stryper, those fucking condescending fucks” said Stewart.

“Stryper hates us. We don’t see eye to eye with Stryper” Stewart continued.

“Fuck Stryper. Stryper’s the worst piece of shit ever. They love jesus and dress like bumble bees. Am I the only one who see this as fucking horribly horrible? I really fucking hate Stryper, there is no way around it” Danny Nordahl said.

Nordahl helped re-launch Faster Pussycat back into the mainstream for a moment with his drunken infamous fall during a show in March 2014.

The band was performing in Marietta Georgia when a drunken Nordahl passed out and fell into the band’s drum riser. The video below went viral and even grabbed the band a news clip on CNN.

Sweet wrote on his Facebook page saying; “I’m not that familiar with Faster Pussycat. Motley Crue, LA Guns and Guns & Roses of course – all bands that have made their mark and don’t really need to prove anything by blatantly attacking other bands just for a shallow blurb on Metal Sludge or Blabbermouth.”

Sweet added that he thought it was “disturbing” that the band did this.

Wow, I got to meet all of the original members Faster Pussycat back when they were touring for their first album. Got pictures with them and they hung out with all of the fans. They were extremely cool. I have always loved them and I have always loved Stryper. I never understood why some bands though felt like they needed to bag on other bands. It usually happpens where the band that is ragging on the other is the one who is pretty washed up. I will always like Taime Downe and remember the conversation we had that Summer night. But he has really let himself go. FP really looks pretty silly now. He and the drummer look like they ate the roadies before they hit the stage here. And I dont know who these other dipshit wannabee rockstars are whoe havent paid enough dues to even conment on what is being served in the hospitality room…. Stryper still sounds the same, has all the same members and seems to be doing just great. Their latest album FALLEN totally rocks and has that classic Styper Heavy Metal sound. Stryper has ALWAYS conducted themselves well and have been a class act. No wonder they have lasted as long as they have.

The FP jackasses always seemed to be recklessly cocking off during their interviews. They are a sloppy bunch of wanna be haters that come off as ignorant and mad at the world. Not our fault your band isn’t more legit. They remind me of that group of shit talking losers where as soon as one person walks away from their pity party they start talking shit about them. Time to go back to your part time jobs at Walmart you turds.

I like both bands. That being said Michael didn’t exactly take the high road. He more than implied that Faster Pussycat aren’t worthy of a response because they didn’t leave a “mark.” Grant it that’s nothing compared to the verbal onslaught that the Pussycat guys gave, but still not the high road.

If FP thinks all Stryper does is love Jesus & dress like bumble bees, they have no clue what Stryper is all about. Stryper makes headlines by releasing stellar music, like their latest album, Fallen, not by slamming other bands or passing out on stage.

Stryper are shit. Always were and always will be.

This is why I have grown to hate the 80s music I grew up with. Its apparently as glossy and corporate as Beiber and the rest today. I’m getting tired of these clowns in these watered down crap versions of bands weighing in on bands that are at least trying to keep the original lineup intact.Who the hell are these guys?At least Stryper were an arena band in their prime and put out good records.What have thse guys done?Enjoy playing state fairs and tiny bars and keep your jealosy to yourselves fellas,nobody cares what you think.

Fp needs to stay where they belong…..the past..

Stryper and Michael Sweet continue to make LEGIT, good and relevant rock music to this day. How many other bands from the 80’s can actually say that? A hand full? How many of those can say they record and tour with their original lineup? One or two, maybe?? How many frontmen can still sing as well…or even better than they did 30 years ago? I can only name one…and he’s not with FP. He’s with Styper though…MS is all class and will still be around making great music when FP guys are long forgotten. Truth. <(another great MS solo album)

Michael has always taken the high road whenver people criticize Stryper. One thing is very clear though , especially concerning Faster Pussycat; Stryper is still cutting new relevant music, while FP will continually be a “has-been” from the 80’s that made it long enough before the hair metal age of music died and grunge took its place.

It’s pretty sad that a band has a spokesman who sounds like he just finished drinking a 1/5 of Jack Daniels! Well they now know what bad PR is! Way to rise above MS in this one sided war

To me these bands were the opposite ends of the spectrum of their time. What’s the point? I doubt they have many of the same fans.

I love Stryper and liked Faster Pussycat until seeing these comments. As a huge fan of 80s metal it always bothers me when you hear someone in a genera specific style trash another band who hasnt done anything to deserve it. I will continue to listen to all my favourite bands, but FP is off my playlist until i see an apology.

Has there ever been a bigger piece of shit bunch posers than faster Pussycat? I’ve never been a big Stryper fan, but FP needs to go sit in a corner somewhere and resume sucking each other off.

Faster Pussycat….the band only amounted to 1 song, 1 ballad and 1 cover. They don’t even rate a story about them. Meanwhile Stryper is still beyond epic in concert to this day. They’ve been musically way ahead of most bands since their start.

FP has no class. There’s no reason to talk crap about stryper. Plus stryper hasn’t dressed like “bumble bees” for many years, plus all bands had a get up they dressed in back then. Michael sweet always takes the higher road, shows what a great guy he is.

Fuck FP. They had one good album and one ok album with the original band and the rest was crap. This nobody (I’ll refer to him as Drunky) is talking shit and I already forgot his name.
Stryper has way more albums and the last two have been pretty heavy.

Good job Mike taking the high road. Haters will be haters. If you don’t like Stryper don’t listen to their music and don’t go to their shows. As for millions of fans around the globe, we’ll continue.
