RIP … S.S. Priest D’Molls Guitarist Dead at 61

Metal Sludge — Sad news as we report the unfortunate passing of D’Molls and Diamond Rexx guitarist S.S. Priest.

S.S. Priest, real name Scott Davis was recently hospitalized and according to sources he was surrounded by family when he passed away after a short battle with Sepsis.

D’Molls drummer Billy ‘Dior’ McCarthy shared the news of his friend and bandmate’s passing earlier today.

McCarthy wrote on Facebook: “It breaks my heart to write this. Extremely saddened to announce my friend and our loving former bandmate, Scotty, from D’Molls, SS Priest (aka Scott Davis) has passed on to heaven.”

D’Molls released their self-titled debut in 1988 on Atlantic Records.

Priest was also a member of the Chicago based Diamond Rexx, who released their debut “Land Of The Damned” (Island Records – 1986) which featured an animated caricature of Priest on the cover.

Priest leaves behind a wife and 2 adult children.

S.S. Priest was 61.

RIP S.S. Priest.
