HOLLYWOOD, California — A Los Angeles area construction company dump truck lost control this afternoon and slammed into the world-famous ‘Whisky-A-Go-Go’ rock club.

News channels all over Los Angeles are reporting on the incident which apparently involved a truck full of dirt losing control and it appears to have careened down Clark Street into the night club which sits on the corner of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.

Metal Sludge reached out to the ‘Whisky-A-Go-Go’ direct, and the club’s house agent Jake Perry tells us the following; “Holy sh*t that was scary! I saw the whole thing go down.”

“Unfortunately Tonight’s show with Boy Hits Car at the Whisky A Go Go is canceled due to a dump truck crashing into the building. The Whisky was evacuated and the power is out because the truck also took out a telephone phone and totaled several cars in the parking lot.”

We tried to save the show and move it to the Roxy but there’s no power there either. Everyone is safe but we’re all shook up!“ added Perry.

Oddly this is not the first time the famous night-club has made the News involving an out of control vehicle.

Shane Hunter being interviewed (watch below) after nearly being run over by an alleged drunk driver outside ‘Whisky-A-Go-Go’ in October 2018.

Back in October of 2018 an alleged drunk driver lost control of their car making the turn going North on Clark Street, jumping the curb and running into a crowd of people standing outside the night-club.

That night 3 people were hospitalized and the News story below not only includes footage of the actual accident, but it also includes an interview with rock guitarist Shane Hunter.

Hunter was in several area bands over the years including playing with Mad Moxie and working with legendary producer Andy Johns.

Hunter also played with Pal Joey, featuring the late Sweet Savage vocalist Joey C. Jones.

In regards to today’s Dump Truck accident, according to ABC 7 News nobody was hurt, but there were at least 5 cars damaged, and a power-pole.

Ironic that the band BOY HITS CAR was scheduled to perform tonight at the club but according to Perry, the show has been cancelled as there is no power in the immediate area.

Metal Sludge sends everyone at the Whisky-A-Go-Go and all of those involved our well wishes.
