MS NEWS / May 6th 2026 — In the latest episode of Get On The Bus their guests are Lzzy Hale of Halestorm along with her band-mate and boyfriend Joe Hottinger.
Hale talks about early musical influences that include Alice Cooper, The Beatles, Pat Benatar, Heart, Pink, Dio andLady Gaga.
Hale also shares that early on she took vocal lessons from Steve Whiteman of Kix who taught her everything related to singing, techniques for saving her voice, warming up and she credits him with being a huge mentor in her career.
Get On The Bus covers several subjects which also includes Halestorm being nominated for and winning a Grammy for the lead single “Love Bites (So Do I)” from their second album The Strange Case Of… (2012).
The subject of Skid Row also comes up and Hale details how she went from eating cake with Rachel Bolan at a party in Nashville to being asked and accepting to sing for one of her favorite bands growing up.
