John 5 and Wednesay 13 of Murderdolls team up for 2027 tour dates with The Creatures

Metal Sludge / August 1st 2026 — John 5 has officially announced that horror-rock icon Wednesday 13 will join his solo band, The Creatures, as lead vocalist for the summer and fall 2027 touring season. This marks the first time in the history of The Creatures that the band will feature a dedicated singer.

The duo is teaming up for an expanded live setlist designed to celebrate the guitarist’s extensive musical history. Because John 5 now has a full-time frontman for the tour, the band will be diving deep into catalog material from major acts he has played with over the last three decades.

John 5 says: “I’ve really missed playing these songs that for years were so much a part of my life. Having such an amazing showman as Wednesday 13 join me will ensure the performances are killer. And to have the first show we announce be the Wacken festival in 2027 is truly awesome.”

Wednesday 13 adds: “I am absolutely thrilled to be sharing the stage with John 5. He has been such a staple in the music world and is one of the best, and most respected guitarist out there. John and I have been friends for years and we have toured together with our bands going all the way back to 2010. All the projects he’s been involved with over the years, are all of my favorite bands, and have been such an influence on me. To be able to sing some of these songs along with him is really a true honor. I really can’t wait to get out on the road next year.”

The Setlist: Fans can expect live covers of songs from Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and David Lee Roth, layered alongside John 5‘s traditional solo instrumental favorites.

The First Confirmed Date: Their inaugural public performance together under this new lineup is scheduled for the Wacken Open Air Festival in Wacken, Germany, which runs from July 28 to July 31, 2027. Additional global tour dates, venues, and ticket sales details are slated to roll out in the coming months.
