June 29th 2026 — Don’t look now, but another band has cancelled their Australian tour with the Silverback / Tribute Touring company.

The Ace Frehley Tribute group were scheduled to perform 5 shows down in Australia in September but today the band released an official statement noting they are cancelling.

This will be the 4th tour in 2026 alone to cancel including; Love/Hate that was scheduled for January, Trixter with Stevie Rachelle (Tuff) and Lorraine Lewis (Femme Fatale) cancelled their March run, which was followed by Swedish rockers Eclipse who cancelled their May tour.

Silverback Touring have had multiple postponed or cancelled shows and tours over recent years and the army of music fans down in Australia have seemingly grown tired of being taken to the cleaners.

Now the Ace Frehley Tribute group have pulled-out of their fall tour with the same company.

We have shared their full statement below as seen on social media earlier today June 29th 2026.

Ace Frehley Band Announces Cancellation of September 2026 Australian Tour

The Ace Frehley Band regrets to announce the cancellation of its scheduled five-city Australian tour, which was set to take place in September 2026.

Following extensive discussions and careful consideration among the band and its management, the difficult decision was made to withdraw from the upcoming tour.

“This decision has not been made lightly,” said Bill Di Paolo, Manager of the Ace Frehley Band. “Our foremost concern has always been the best interests of our fans, ticket holders, our touring crew, and everyone involved in these shows.”

The band believes that stepping away from the Australian tour is the most responsible course of action at this time, allowing the broader industry matters involving Silverback Touring and Tribute Touring to reach an appropriate resolution.

This decision comes as the ongoing issue surrounding outstanding unpaid funds from previous Australian tours promoted by Silverback Touring and Tribute Touring continues to receive increasing attention from artists, agents, promoters, and fans both nationally and internationally.

“We sincerely hope that all ticket holders receive timely communication regarding the cancellation and that refunds are processed promptly where applicable.”

The Ace Frehley Band remains deeply appreciative of its Australian fanbase and looks forward to returning to Australia when circumstances allow.

“We understand this news will be disappointing to our Australian fans, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” Di Paolo added. “Your continued support means a great deal to us, and we look forward to returning to Australia when the time is right.”

The Ace Frehley Band would like to thank their fans around the world for their continued understanding, loyalty, and support.

Respectfully,

The Ace Frehley Band

As readers will recall, Metal Sludge was first to report on the on-going concerns and rumors that surrounded Silverback Touring, their sister company Tribute Touring and President Danny Bazzi.

Back on March 26th 2026 Metal Sludge published: “AUSTRALIA ….. Dear Danny Bazzi of Silverback Touring: “I Am So Very Disappointed In You, As Are Several Others and Here is Why!”

The initial article hit after numerous artists, companies and related individuals, along with countless fans all came forward alleging wrong-doing in the way of payments – or lack there of – and a refund policy that left endless fans chasing their money… with some disgruntled fans saying it’s been going on for years.

A second article was published on June 19th here at Metal Sludge after the investigative show ‘A Current Affair‘ down in Australia ran a feature segment on Bazzi and Silverback that resulted in a slew of additional coverage that appeared in Rolling Stone, on Blunt Mag, at Tone Deaf, via Joel King, with News Nine, on NZ: Metal Army, on Killawats: Hard Rock Speacialists and multiple other outlets.

The Metal Sludge follow-up article can be read here: “<DISGRACED AUSSIE PROMOTER> Danny Bazzi was featured on ‘A Current Affair’ Down Under in Prime Time and Faces a Plethora of Heinous Allegations and Debts with his Silverback Touring Co.”
