DEVIL CITY WHO?
Tracii Guns forms new band GUNZO with Rudy Sarzo and Keith St. John
Facebook — What do you get when you combine 2 famous hairband rocker’s last names? Well it depends on who you are looking to combine.
In this case it’s Tracii Guns and Rudy Sarzo who have combined their last names – simply put, they are calling their new band GUNZO!
Tracii Guns also recently relaunched the band he founded in the mid 80’s and his latest version is being promoted as L.A. Guns’ Tracii Guns.
The southern California native axe-slinger is also part of Devil City Angels which launched last summer after Guns and Rikki Rockett jammed together and joked, ‘We should form a band called Guns N’ Rocketts.”
That little jam turned into a group that has already done some touring in the states and as of press time is slated to release new music before summer.
Metal Sludge reported a rumor back in January >HERE< that Guns was alleged to be leaving DCA.
Inside sources close to the band members alleged Guns was on his way out. Guns denied this on his facebook saying “No truth”, but ironically within days of that rumor, the guitarist did admit to relaunching his line up of L.A. Guns.
Now it seems Guns and Rudy Sarzo have come together to form GUNZO. The pair have tapped singer Keith St. John to front the band who recently left X-Drive. St. John has made the rounds in recent years fronting Burning Rain and Montrose, along with a short stint in Quiet Riot.
The members of GUNZO also include drummer Shane Fitzgibbon. The group recently appeared the “Canyon Club” in Agoura California.
There band’s debut live performance playing the late Ronnie James Dio’s classic “Rainbow In The Dark” and Ozzy Osborne’s “Crazy Train” are posted below.
GUNZO have an official Facebook page that just launched and a band logo too.
