Metal Sludge — In what could be considered one of the biggest moves in the 80’s and 90’s rock band world in years, Skid Row have drafted a new singer.

Earlier in the week, Skid Row released a new single “The Gang’s All Here” and simultaneously announced the addition of their new frontman Erik Grönwall formerly of the band H.E.A.T..

The move also resulted in the band letting go of ZP Theart from his position in the group.

Grönwall is Swedish, and has been screaming his guts out since he was a young boy, and now at age 34, he’s stepping into some big shoes.

How good is he as a singer?

Well, we’ll let you the reader and listener decided that.

We dug up some tracks that Grönwall has covered on his official Youtube channel and decided to share them below.

The channel has interviews, personal clips and Grönwall covering some of his favorites including songs by Iron Maiden, Dio, Van Halen (Hagar era), Kiss, Black Sabbath (Tony Martin era), CCR, Pantera and yes, even a Skid Row cover of the band’s mega hit “18 & Life.”
