July 14th 2026 — In a brand new social media post, Jizzy Pearl has announced he is leaving Quiet Riot.
The band currently have the most stable lineup ever in their 50+ year history… the band have been locked-in with the same quartet since 2021.
Pearl took to Facebook within the last hour writing the following: “Hey Everyone—I have decided to leave Quiet Riot. I will continue to fulfill all scheduled dates within my contractual obligations. As the old cliche` says “I am moving on to new creative pursuits and projects.” Things happen when they’re supposed to happen. I wish the QR guys all the best—That’s it! Thanks!”
After this statement was shared by Pearl at exactly 11:00am (pst), Metal Sludge did some digging and realized that there were no subsequent or simultaneous posts by any other member, or Quiet Riot as a group.
Quiet Riot in 2026 features; Jizzy Pearl (vocals), classic era member Rudy Sarzo (bass), Alex Grossi (guitars) and Johnny Kelly (drums).
Pearl is currently fronting Quiet Riot for the second time over the band’s historical career, with his first tenure running 2013–2016 and his second starting back in 2019 to present day.
Editor’s Note: Roughly 2 hours after Pearl‘s initial statement, Quiet Riot posted their own message on social media at aproximately 1:00pm (pst)… we have shared their statement below.
Quiet Riot have now posted a statement, and have noted they are actively searching for a replacement.
Quiet Riot took to their official social media a few hours after Pearl‘s announcement writing: “Official Announcement
For immediate release: Quiet Riot is currently accepting submissions for a new vocalist within North America for 2027 and beyond. The shows on the calendar this year will go on as scheduled.

Quiet Riot currently features classic era bassist Rudy Sarzo along with Alex Grossi on guitar who has been in the group dating back to 2004 when the late and legendary Kevin DuBrow was still fronting the band, and the late Frankie Banali was still behind the kit.
DuBrow died in November of 2007 with his death surrounded by a unique set of circumstances.
Wikipedia writes: “On November 25, 2007, DuBrow was found deceased at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Friends had been unable to contact DuBrow for a week and he failed to show up for Thanksgiving dinner hosted by his friend Glenn Hughes. According to Hughes, DuBrow had told him some ten days before that he had wanted to make adjustments in his lifestyle. The cause of death was revealed to be an overdose by a combination of cocaine, sleeping pill Zolpidem, painkillers, and alcohol. It was also determined that he had died six days before being found. Nevertheless, his grave marker labels his death, “Nov. 25, 2007″”
Banali died in August of 2020 after battling pancreatic cancer.
Wikipedia writes: “In October 2019, Banali revealed that he was diagnosed with stage-IV pancreatic cancer on April 17. He died from the disease on August 20, 2020, at age 68. This left Banali as the second member of the classic Metal Health-era Quiet Riot lineup to have died, following Kevin DuBrow in November 2007. It was announced three weeks after his death that Quiet Riot would continue without Banali, who was replaced by Johnny Kelly.”
Over the last several years, various 80’s era rock bands have been forced to replace their classic voices for a variety of reasons including; FireHouse, Great White, Skid Row, Vixen, Queensrÿche, Foreigner and Warrant.
Quiet Riot will now rejoin Skid Row as they too are still searching for the next frontman.
