Metal Sludge — As was first reported here on Metal Sludge (July 11th) Nita Strauss has joined the Demi Lovato touring band.
Strauss released a statement on early July 11th that shocked the hard rock and metal world when she announced she would be stepping out from her near decade long guitarist roll in the Alice Cooper Band.
Fans across all metal and rock platforms were buzzing with why she would leave, where she would end up next and ultimately wondering who would fill her shoes in Cooper.
While many guessed it would be a much bigger artist or even a pop band, it was Metal Sludge that quickly reported Strauss was joining Lovato and simultaneously added that Kane Roberts was returning to play with the legendary Detroit music icon.
Two days later on July 13th both Cooper and Roberts confirmed our scoop and their plans to tour together this fall.
Now on Thursday night (July 14th) Strauss appeared on stage with Lovato live on The Jimmy Kimmel Show.
Blabbermouth writes: “Lovato is about to hit the road in support of her eighth studio album, “Holy Fvck”, which will be released on August 19 via Island Records. The LP’s first single, “Skin Of My Teeth”, was made available last month.”
As of press time, there has been no official statement from Strauss, but her appearance with Lovato is all but cementing the fact that she is now working with the pop-star.
