Metal Sludge — It always sucks writing these posts, but sadly we’re having to do it again.
Heavens Edge bassist George “G.G.” Guidotti has sadly lost his battle with Lung Cancer over the weekend.
There ia no official statement from the band, or family but there have been numerous industry related people posting the sad news.
Some members of Heavens Edge have also updated
their social media with images of their fallen brother.
Guidotti wrote an open letter on social media back in the spring telling readers about his condition.
“I’ve been putting this off for a couple of weeks now as I have been trying to fig
ure out the right way to say it. But since there is no sugar coating it, I may as well call it what it is. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I was told they can’t cure me.” wrote Guidotti.
Metal Sludge would like to send our best to all of George’s family, friends, bandmates and fans.
