“It’s like a big nothing.”
— Sebastian Bach and his opinion of the Internet
THE INTERNET — Sebastian Bach has weighed-in with his thoughts about people who comment on the internet.
Bach was recently interviewed by Jason Irwin of RadioRadioX, and he was asked how he deals with social media, especially when it relates to his former band Skid Row.
Bach took the bait and responded with: “I don’t even care about social media. I use social media to promote my shows. It doesn’t mean anything… it’s, like, nothing. It’s like a big nothing.”
Bach continued with: “I promote my concerts and I let fans know that I got a new record out. It’s been years since I bothered reading a comment section or whatever… I have better things to do with my time.”
“Let me just say this, though: when the Internet first came out, none of us knew what the hell it was,” Sebastian added. “So, 10, 15 years ago, yeah, I was reading comments and threatening people to fight down at the Chick-fil-A and meet me at 4:30. And then I go, why am I wasting my time? And I think nowadays people are realizing that the really cool people are not on the Internet. It’s a place for fucking losers. I think people are getting that. Nobody really cool is on there typing shit. It’s all a bunch of jealous fucking losers that have nothing else to do… I mean, I like looking at shit like old videos that are posted of bands I like, like ROSE TATTOO. I love all the KISS stuff — I’m a collector — but as far as reading what Jimmy from Iowa thinks of my new video, I don’t give a fuck.” — (Transcribed by Blabbermouth)
Apparently Bach has a short-term memory… perhaps this could be the case from all of the smoke he inhaled and the wine he has consumed. Never mind the stuff he shared in his book about doing blow (cocaine) for hours, days and weeks on end with >insert rock star names here<.
Just a little over a year ago in September of 2024, 106.7 WLLZ in Detroit shared Bach‘s online rant when he got into a heated exchange with some fans on Twitter.
The first fan asked: “Does Bach talk politics to the crowd!? Wondering before I buy tickets for the Calgary show.”
Bach replied with: “Bach says whatever the fck he wants to say. If u have a problem with that, stay the fck home,”
A second fan commented: “Stop talking politics and concentrate on your own business! I’m not paying to talk politics. I’m paying you to hear you singing. Is that hard to understand?”
“Stop telling me what to say and kiss my nuts while you’re at it,” Bach replied.
In October of 2022 – also little more recent that 10 or 15 years ago – the former Skid Row frontman was threatening to meet and fight Ronnie Radke of Falling In Reverse.
Metal Sludge covered that drama in our article: “E-FIGHT … Sebastian Bach challenges Falling In Reverse singer: “Can’t Wait To Meet You In Person. Name The Time And The Place And I Will Introduce You To Rock And Roll In Person”.
