Who wants to help out a little baby girl?

Hey Everyone,

Sure this is Metal Sludge and we’re all about rock stars, music, and funny stuff most of the time…. but…. did you ever stop and think about what’s really important?

How many days go by when you’re upset at the little things in your life? The weather sucks, the coffee is cold, your roomate is a slob, or there is a slow driver ahead of you.

Have you ever thought about the people who waste precious time, energy, and/or money, when all of those things could be used for a much more serious cause? How about lawsuits? You know the kind that see both sides spending tens of thousands of dollars, but in the end, the lawyers get it all. And the parties walk out of court in no different of a position then when they walked in.

What a damn shame it is when the world cries for help when they don’t really need it, and the people who really deserve the attention are overlooked far too often. There is a message here, and I hope some of you are getting it. If you’re reading this, you have a lot to be happy for. Go live your life, do your thing, but make sure to stop and take a look around you once in a while and put things back into perspective.

As many of you might know, I became a Father this year to a beautiful & healthy daughter. I couldn’t be happier for that, and am thankful daily. Now let’s see what we can do to make a difference and help out this little girl: www.ravensheart.org.

11/18: Update from Raven’s Family:

Surgery November 18th 2004

Well Raven has had a successful first surgery. After remaining on life support for a few days she showed us all how strong she is and demanded to breathe on her own!!! What a little trooper! She had so many things in her it was alarming! Her chest tubes, which drain off excess blood and fluid were finally removed as well as the feeding tube. She seems to want to eat every three hours and is on the way to recover. She met a very sweet 16 year old boy who was having heart surgery the same day and ended up being her roommate. He too is recovering and it was wonderful to meet his amazing family, who is like alot of you, a part of us FOREVER!! We are going to nurse this little one to reach her full potential!!! She has a long road ahead and with the proper treatment from her cardiologist, surgeons, and pediatrician we can make it happen. I must take the next year to focus on doing everything I can to help her become a normal child. Please continue to help by spreading the word about Raven’s Heart Foundation!!! Thank you all…updates coming as things progress.

Thanks as well to all the Sludgeaholics who have contributed thus far! YOU ROCK!
