Poison & Cinderella to celebrate 20 years with tour.
20 Years ago Poison & Cinderella hit the shelf with these debut records!
Both bands released their debut in 1986 and became the hot new bands according to Hit Parader Magazine. And 20 years later they are getting ready to celebrate their 20th Anniversaries together. Well, at least 20 years since their debut recordings hit the shelf.
Both Poison & Cinderella had played around Los Angeles and Philadelphia for some time before their deals came along. And both bands had a few member changes along the way as well.
Poison who started in Western Pennsylvania origianlly had Matt Smith as their lead axeman. Upon his decision to quit the band and move home – they held auditions. These auditions also saw Gn’R famed slinger Saul "Slash" Hudson lining up to try out out, but it was the Screaming Mimi’s bleach blond maniac
CC DeVille who grabbed the spot.
As for Cinderella, they played the circuit of Eastern Pennsylvania with Michael Kelly Smith as guitarist who later helped to form Britny Fox. The band also included drummer Tony "Stix" Destra but both were given the boot when Tom signed the deal. Destra was also part of the early Britny Fox line-up but was killed in a car crash before anything big happened.
Get ready for the summer it’s gonna rock!
