Tawn Passes With Friends and Family at Bedside
A very sad update just posted at KNAC.com
Legendary rock dj and original member of the KNAC family, Tawn Mastrey died this evening in Minneapolis at the age of 53. She had been suffering from the effects of Hepatitis C which she contracted as a child.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced soon.
All of us here at KNAC.COM send our heartfelt sympathy to her family.
She will be dearly missed.
I have great memories of Tawn.
She was a friend of mine and over the years she helped give TUFF a push when she could. Aside from the KNAC support, she also did a radio show with William Hames (famous for his photography) which aired in Japan that we were featured on as well.
Watch Tawn introduce Nuclear Assault HERE as the host in the Penelope Spheeris directed PPV special "Heavy Metal Thunder & Mud."
Tawn did the Metal Sludge famous 20 Questions HERE in May 2001. Her Wikipedia link is HERE.
We’ll miss you Tawn.
